1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the SkyFinder app and website, provided by Codevty (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using SkyFinder, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Applicable app store terms also apply. If local law requires parental consent for your use, you must have that consent.

2. About the service

SkyFinder is an educational astronomy and observational aid. It helps you explore celestial objects, discover events and manage optional reminders. Features, content and availability may vary by device, region and app version and may change over time. We do not guarantee that an event will be visible from your location or that a reminder will arrive at a particular time.

3. Accuracy and safe use

Positions, illustrations, viewing information and event times are provided for general information and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Weather, obstructions, location and device conditions affect the experience.

• Do not rely on SkyFinder for navigation, emergencies or any safety-critical purpose.
• Never look directly at the Sun or view it through cameras, binoculars, telescopes or other optical equipment without appropriate certified solar protection.
• Remain aware of traffic, terrain, other people and your surroundings.
• Respect private property, restricted areas and local rules.

4. License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SkyFinder lawfully under these Terms and applicable app store rules. You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access, infringe others’ rights, or copy, resell or redistribute it except as permitted by law or an applicable license. Do not submit unlawful, abusive or infringing content through feedback or support.

5. Premium and purchases

SkyFinder may offer optional paid benefits, including an ad-free Premium purchase. The app and store checkout show the applicable price, currency, taxes and benefits before payment. The current Premium offer is a one-time purchase and does not renew as a subscription.

Payments, refunds and purchase eligibility are governed by the relevant app store’s rules and applicable law. Eligible purchases may be restored through the app using the same store account. Purchases may not transfer between different stores or platforms. “Lifetime” describes a non-expiring entitlement to the purchased benefit while the applicable SkyFinder service is available; it does not promise perpetual operation or support of every device. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

6. Advertising and external services

The free app contains advertising. Availability and personalization depend on your region and privacy choices. Advertisements and external links may lead to services operated by others. Their terms and policies apply to those services. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for external services we do not control.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information is used, why it is processed, who receives it and the choices available to you. You can manage app permissions and notifications through your device settings and applicable privacy choices in the app.

8. Intellectual property and credits

SkyFinder’s software, branding and content belong to Codevty or its licensors. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses and their owners retain their rights.

Celestial data credits include d3-celestial and its credited sources. Planet surface imagery is adapted from Solar System Scope under CC BY 4.0. Some decorative artwork is AI-generated. These credits do not imply endorsement.

9. Availability and disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, SkyFinder is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted service, complete accuracy or compatibility with every device. We may update or discontinue features and may restrict access for misuse. Any changes affecting paid benefits remain subject to applicable consumer law and store rules.

10. Liability and your legal rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codevty and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use SkyFinder. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, refunds or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

11. App store terms

Your app store is responsible for its distribution and payment services under its own terms. These Terms are between you and Codevty; the store does not provide SkyFinder’s support or maintenance. For an app obtained through Apple’s App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them as applicable. Use must comply with the store’s usage rules.

12. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms and publish the updated version here with a new effective date. We will provide additional notice or seek agreement where required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Questions and support requests: [email protected].
