- Positions are calculated, not identified from camera images. Sensor accuracy and magnetic interference affect alignment. Buildings and terrain can block your view.

Does SkyFinder recognize objects through my camera?
No. It calculates sky positions using your location and the current time, then uses your device orientation to place guidance over the camera view.
Can I explore without using the camera?
Yes. Set camera visibility to zero, or enable Touch Mode in Sky Map. Initial setup asks for camera and location access. The camera switches off whenever its visibility is zero.
Does it work without internet?
The sky catalog and astronomy calculations are included in the app. Location and device sensors are still needed for local guidance. Ads, store links and legal pages require a connection.
Why does an object appear below the horizon?
It is currently below the calculated horizon at your location. You can explore that part of the map, but the real object is not visible from where you are.
